The 'fruits' of Martin's Labors:

Their 'Sustainable Woods' series of guitars is built from solid sustainable Cherry back, sides and neck. The fingerboard and bridge from sustainable Katalox. Here's what Martin says about the wonderful, full-bodied instruments:

"Built in accordance with our responsible guitar building practices, the SWOMGT sustainable wood model provides a combination of great tone and attractive appointments at an extremely good value. The majority of wood utilized in this instrument originated in forests managed in an ecologically responsible manner."

'In our wheelhouse' so to speak, or if you're old enough to remember a fast food chain's tag line from the 1970's: 'Special orders don't upset us'.

'Specialty' instruments are something we've had lots of experience with and wanted to pass along some ideas to support your musical endeavors.

Mandolin family instruments are in plentiful supply at 17 and counting!
Remember that old 'bowl-back' or 'round back' mandolin your grandparents had in the attic or basement for decades? Turns out they're alive and well in the capable hands of Eastman Guitars.

How about something mandolin-like with an extended range and neck length? Some call them mandolas, others octave mandolins. Either way, these celtic/classical/folk/you name it instruments can be an excellent choice for expanding your 'tonal pallet' along with the rhythmic texture only a double-string instrument possesses. (The bouzouki is a close relation as well). See the Gold Tone instruments page for their mandola:

Considering the harp? We currently have the Roosebeck 'Baby Harp' in stock-an economical way to explore plucked 'open string' instruments.

We've also helped customers bring back long neglected instruments from times gone by-see below:

• Tenor guitars
• Tiple
• Psaltry & other types of lap harps
• Lutes & lute family instruments

We often have a dulcimer, thumb piano, melodica, and concertina/accordion instruments on consignment or available used.
