Coming Around Again

It's as nostalgic as the song at the WMC these days with these two instruments landing here for a second try:

At top we have a 2008 Taylor 512ce in beautiful condition with original case.
Below a Mid Missouri Mandolins M-2 mandolin (now called Big Muddy) in all solid maple back and sides, solid spruce top also in excellent condition.
Just like the first time we sold them, we've given each instrument a full setup and new strings.

Boomerang Taylor 12-String

We've just been visited by an old 'friend', a Taylor 12-string acoustic electric 12-fret model 562ce on consignment this week (the original owner purchased it new from us in 2016). In pristine condition with original case. If you've never played one of Taylor's 12/12's now's the time since there are currently two in the shop, the other a new 352ce. They feel more like a parlor guitar with extra strings than a chimey, full bodied 12-string.

Guild M-20

It's finally here, the Guild M-20!

A classic returns from Guild's 'back catalog' but this time revived with modern playability, reliability and vintage charm. Everything you remember about playing a vintage M-20 is present here with greater tonal 'shape' and presence. Hear why this classic model forged inroads in so many styles of music from folk, rock, blues, and everything else between.

More from the Guild website:

"Guild’s iconic M-20 was the first guitar off the production line in 1967, when the company had grown so much that they relocated to a new factory in Westerly, RI. Nearly 50 years later, history has repeated itself in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in California. The M-20 is a concert size acoustic guitar built with solid mahogany top, back, and sides, informally nicknamed “the Nick Drake guitar” for its inclusion on the album art for Drake’s album, Bryter Layter. It features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing. The M-20’s modest appointments include a vintage style rosette and Guild’s peak logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock. Each M-20 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a hardshell case. Available in Natural, Vintage Sunburst, Natural with LR Baggs pickup (M-20E Nat), and Sunburst with LR Baggs pickup (M-20E VSB)."

Used, Consigned & One of a Kind

Lovely used Guild in this week from the original owner purchased from us about four years ago. *SOLD*

It's great to see fine quality, well maintained used guitars coming in on consignment or trade these days. Part of our focus is to provide instruments we know you'll enjoy years after the sale. We make sure every used guitar is adjusted and ready to go which is part of our agreement with both the seller and the customer. If an instrument doesn't meet our thorough inspection we may pass on taking it in.

Django Guitar

It's a rare day when not only a Maccaferri style guitar lands in our shop but one that is also luthier built. What you see in the pic is a 'Dell Arte' Selmer Maccaferri style flat top guitar made famous by Django Reinhardt in the oval soundhole version. This particular guitar was hand built in San Diego, CA by John Kinnard http://www.johnkinnard.com/index.html
Given their boutique price, this is a rare opportunity to own an fine, professional grade instrument at half the regular new price!

This is a used, consignment guitar that shows use but nothing one would call excessive. There is a high quality hard case included.

Yamaha FS820S

We 💖 Yamaha Acoustic guitars here at WMC!
Their beautiful lines seem to draw the eye in and of course the feel, tone, and ease of playing dial it all in for us. Sorry, we don't mean to be selfish-we don't mind sharing with curious, inspired customers! 😉

Guilds

It sure was fun to play some brand new USA & imported Guilds
thanks to our regional sales rep stopping by to visit us today!

They may appear to be the Guilds of yore but don't be
fooled, these guitars look the part but feel and sound
'dialed-in' more than their vintage counterparts.

We don't have these guitars in the shop unfortunately but
keep an eye on our page and this blog for new arrivals.

GS Mini Bass

As some native Rhode Islanders might say, this one's a 'Sleepah'!
Although we just sold our last GS Mini Bass only a few days ago, it's replacement arrived yesterday and we're glad it did! Gorgeous tight-grained Sitka Spruce top with a curly Sapele headstock veneer along with a strong, resonant tone! This one truly is beyond your off the shelf Mini Bass, almost like Taylor throws us a bone now and then?
Freshly restocked Yamaha digital pianos
from top to bottom:
Piaggero, P125, & P45.
