New Taylor and Yamaha Guitars JUST IN!

The 'Sunburst Twins' just landed!

Yamaha FG830 in front / FS830 behind

Taylor 314ce

The irrepressibly cute Yamaha APX T2! We have it in black and vintage sunburst as well.

Water Water Everywhere...

...hopefully in your guitar, too!

Yes, it's that time of year again to humidify your guitars. Wakefield Music stocks the Oasis and Planet Waves guitar humidifiers that we use on our own instruments and you should, too. So watch those hygrometers and if you see moisture levels dropping below 40%, it's best to start up your machines at home and/or put a humidifier in your acoustic guitar right away. You'll know it's time when new fret buzzes appear, fret ends on unbound necks stick out and feel sharp, and tops 'sink' or warp affecting action and possibly split or the finish 'crazes'.

We Had Twins!

Taylor 114's that is:

It's hard to believe you can buy a full scale Taylor guitar made in North America with a solid top and ebony fretboard and bridge for under $500!

*SOLD*

And yes that's a '14 Gibson LG-2 (w/pickup) behind them just in last week. ;)

If you haven't heard the rumors, these Taylor 562ce 12-string guitars with their 5-series sized bodies and 12-fret neck join are twice as fun as their bigger brother 12-strings.

Things are FALL-ING into Wakefield Music this week!

Student Band Methods

Parents and students, if you're looking for school band methods, it's best to let us know a week in advance so that you don't have to wait during this busy time of year!

Normally clams are found by the beach, not in our shop unless someone's severely lacking of musical skill! :o

This is what can happen when the grain in a solid wood guitar either receives a shock allowing it to follow from one end to the other or there's a compromise in the wood's structure. Not the kind of repair we engage in here but we'll refer you to a couple of expert technicians on our roster.

In other news, two used guitars just in this week:

*Seagull Entourage Acoustic-electric with gig bag

*Ibanez AEF-37 acoustic-electric with hard case. *SOLD*
